Man Eating Sugar. Man Drinking Fat.

Man Eating Sugar

Man Drinking Fat

Ewww!

Personally, I don't recommend milk, even it's fat-free. (Will post about that next time). I don't know much about seltzer and unsweetened tea.

Let's go with water!

Our long overdue project. We're able to start just last first week of October.

High five Tatay!

Diet for a New America

Nanay Nona shared this video. Thanks Nay Nona!

Feel free to check her site Vegetarian Philippines.

Mr. John Robbins is the only son of the Baskin and Robbins Ice Cream founder. His father anointed him to run the business but he refused the offer to manage the multi-billion dollar company. Instead, he wrote the book Diet for a New America, exposed the contaminants of milk and meat and became a vegan advocate. Download and watch the film version before you drink your next glass of milk or eat another scoop of ice cream.

Fast foods. Instant foods. Junk foods. Well, I'm also guilty eating those kinds of foods. But, we can start a new. Today is the best day.

ampalaya

Ampalaya. Fresh from our backyard!

Photos taken last Oct. 27.

sayote

My first time to see sayote with sprouts. Hehe! =)

Did we eat it? Did Tatay plant it instead? I didn't know what happened to it after my photo shoot. By the way, photos were taken last Oct. 20.

i asked myself

"What do you really want in life?"

find my place under the sun,
light my own candle,
keep my candle's fire burning brightly,

so that, one way or another, i might help others

hopefully, I could be at least a GI* instead of a BI*,hehe ;)

*GI = Good Influence
*BI = Bad Influence

3 years 4 months and 2 days from now, I wonder where would I be. Exciting!

Feel free to follow my journey. I hope we'll both learn a lot along the way ;)

nǐmen hǎo!

November 4, 2009 was our last day of Mandarin class. That picture above was taken right after our group's presentation. The presentation was a part of our final exam. It served as our speaking exercise.

I'm so thankful for the experience. I had a great time learning the language. Wu laoshi and Zhou laoshi are great teachers. They never get tired answering our questions. They are also very patient specially during reading and listening exercises. They are very encouraging and supportive too. My classmates are also great. Our class is lively (almost all the time). I said "almost" because there were also times when we feel "information overload". Everyone is helping one another.

I'm a beginner and still have a long, long way to go. Someday, I would like to be able to update my blog using Mandarin. (By the way, I'm also interested in the Japanese and Korean languages.)

wu lǎoshī hé zhou lǎoshī, fēicháng xìexie nǐ!

nǐmen, zàijiàn! =)
